Final Fantasy XV should be getting a release date soon. The game was already graced with a demo via Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Reports indicating a nondescript 2015 release may turn out to be inaccurate – it's almost April and there's been no word of a more specific launch window.
Square Enix game director Hajime Tabata is doing his part to keep Final Fantasy XV relevant until the marketing department kicks things into high gear. He's made a statement that provides a revelatory glance inside the development at Square Enix – specifically regarding Final Fantasy XV.
Here's what the game director had to say on the game's all-male cast of main characters:
"Speaking honestly, an all-male party feels almost more approachable for players," Tabata told GameSpot in a recent interview. "Even the presence of one female in the group will change their behaviour, so that they'll act differently. So to give the most natural feeling, to make them feel sincere and honest, having them all the same gender made sense in that way,"
