Have you ever wanted to learn a new language? Well, Microsoft and their Xbox One platform may be able to help you with that. The company has taken two prominent languages and worked with Rosetta Stone to offer simulated learning experiences through their console.
The simulations come as a product of one of Xbox Live's newest applications, "Rosetta Stone's Discover Languages." At the moment, only Spanish and English lessons are available for users to engage with, but it's assumed that more will be on the way. Here's a quick blip from the application's marketing material that explains how this new application will work:
"You’ll explore several locations in the Discovery Zone and chat with the characters you find there. In the Training Zone, you’ll solidify the concepts you encountered with study recommendations, cultural tips, phrase books, and of course, more games! Keep track of your achievements, and keep practicing until you get a perfect score."
If anyone ever asks you how games have helped to improve humanity, then this is a perfect example.
