Bloodborne Frame Rate Test Shows Significant Slowing

Bloodborne may not be so perfect, after all…

Reviews of Bloodborne came out earlier today to thunderous applause. Many media outlets are giving the game superior review scores, cementing its position as Sony's first major exclusive of the eighth console generation. Whatever deal Sony and From Software came to regarding Bloodborne's exclusivity, it appears to have paid off.

However, it can be easy to look at games in a critical light with all of this positivity. Don't get us wrong, we here at Gameranx are happy for From Software's success and we hope that it continues in the months to come. That said, Youtuber DigitalFoundry recently posted a video that calls into question Bloodborne's frame rate. Apparently, the game dips to around 24 frames per second in certain areas. Most games today run around 30, so this revelation isn't game breaking, but it's still something to rouse concern.
