Despite the many hours I put into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I never really got a grip on the road system. Sure, following the hazy path markers were the easiest way to navigate to new cities in the first few hours of playing, but over time you learn to cut through fields and mountain peaks to find the easiest way from point A to point B. I basically ignored the trails and went by the compass, no matter how hard the terrain.
But as a city girl who traverses the Seattle and San Francisco metro systems on the regular, this fan project appeals to me. Reddit user Sylpheed put together this public transportation style Skyrim map in Illustrator. Somehow, I find it easier to wrap my head around than the actual Skyrim map itself, even with the Quality World Map mod on the Nexus Forums. Check it out in detail above–it's even color coded!
