Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy Remastered Rumored To Be Full Price Video Game Release

October 11, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

It looks like we may see a full priced video game release.

Grand Theft Auto is a popular video game franchise, and it’s not surprising to see the game IP constantly get swamped with rumors. For a few years now, we’ve been waiting on the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6. However, it was quickly transitioned to a rumored Grand Theft Auto trilogy remasters. That rumor proved to be accurate as Rockstar Games recently unveiled the Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy Remastered Edition.

This trilogy comes packed with Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Now, these games were incredibly popular when they were first released and have a strong following today. However, it looks like this collection will be a full-price game release. Some might have expected this, but this news comes from a retailer listing that has the game at a whole $60 for last-generation consoles and $70 for the latest-generation. The retailer is Base.com, but it could also be a placeholder for now or false information.

We’re still waiting to see just when precisely this game will be launching alongside the price. Meanwhile, the game trilogy hasn’t been showcased yet online. The developers are claiming enhanced visuals and mechanics to make the games play like a modern title. However, we haven’t seen just what the gameplay looks like. Also, the fact that this is remastered that will keep the same look as the original releases may have some wondering if this will be much of a remastered edition.

This might be a remastered edition for some gamers that they’ll hold off on getting too excited about until we see some footage. Meanwhile, others might be keen on getting the original installments as some content might be removed, like original soundtrack listings. Then there’s also the fact that players are anxiously awaiting the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6. We don’t know just when we’ll get our first glimpse of the game, but hopefully, this remastered collection will help tie players over.
