Wasteland 2 is joining the long list of independently developed games to make the transition from PC to new-gen console. Microsoft has revealed that its ID@Xbox program will be hosting Wasteland 2 and a host of other titles for the Xbox One.
Other games to make the list are Mighty No. 9, Shovel Knight, Smite, and Goat SImulator.
The announcement was made at the Game Developers Conference, which is taking place this week.
Elsewhere, Sony also confirmed that Wasteland 2 would be coming to the PlayStation 4.
Microsoft released a trailer for Wasteland 2, depicting some of the changes that are going into the console version of the game. It's also being called the Game of the Year edition, so it must be good (no, seriously).
The game's console version will be seeing the graphical updates slated to make it into the PC version once it upgrades from Unity 4.5 to Unity 5, and all that entails. In addition, there's a new "quirks and perks" system, a "precision strike" system, and all new voicovers for all major speaking parts and NPCs.
