If you're not familiar with Nintendo's Amiibo line of products, then it's probably a good time to familiarize yourself. They work in the same fashion as the popular Skylanders and Disney: Infinity products. You can buy certain character figures – something of which Nintendo has a metric ton – and they will link up to your Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. It's a great way for Nintendo to make money and gives players a way to collect gaming merchandise that actually accomplishes something other than sitting on a shelf.
Fans of the Amiibo figurines will be happy to know that there are some new ones coming out in the Spring. Nintendo of America published this revelatory tweet earlier:
More #amiibo are coming soon! The next line launching in spring includes Robin, Lucina, Charizard, PAC-MAN, Wario & Ness. #NintendoDirectNA
These images, which are labeled with the date March 20, appear to be pertinent to the announcement. The characters pictured will likely be a part of the upcoming Spring line-up with Charizard, Ness and Wario:
(Marth, Pac-Man, Wario)
(Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi)
