Super Smash Bros. 4: Little Mac Does Have Impressive Aerial Skills

January 5, 2015 by Tony Ponce

Competitive Smasher ZeRo demonstrates how to turn Little Mac into a skyborne beast.

During Little Mac's Smash reveal video, his trainer Doc Louis warned that Mac has no air game. Though the puny pugilist is a deadly combination of speed and power on the ground, his aerial attacks as well as his recovery are pretty pathetic. But like any underdog boxer, the path to victory lies in studying your weaknesses and turning them into strengths.

Competitive Smash player ZeRo (a.k.a. the dude who won the E3 Smash Invitational) posted the above video of a Little Mac combo that turns him into death from above. By alternating between Footstool Jumps and Neutral Air attacks, you can lift your opponent into the sky, where a simple uppercut can send them off into oblivion. This is a challenging trick to pull off, especially on small or thin characters. It's best used against heavies, like Donkey Kong or King Dedede.

Will this new knowledge help turn your Little Mac game into an unstoppable steamroll?
