It's been some time since we've heard from Carbine Studios and Wildstar. Carbine has now shared information on their upcoming Winterfest contests, as well as what's on the docket for 2015.
While League of Legends went for the pure competitive MOBA event, Carbine wants you to get creative for Wildstar. They're running three competitions, one for decorating in-game houses, one for a holiday screenshot, and one to make any holiday Wildstar themed media. They'll take one winner each for each contest in the US and Europe, and winners will actually get mailed a physical prize pack. You can get more details on the contest here.
Wildstar's 1st 2015 update will bring a lot of new content along with it, much of it the result of fan feedback. To address concerns with accessibility, they are adding Protogames Academy, a low level training dungeon, adjustments to quests, a more transparent Dungeon Medal system, and lowering the Datascape group requirement from 40 to 20 players.
On the other hand, veteran players have a lot of things to look forward to, with veteran versions of all Shiphand Missions, one new Shiphand Mission called They Came From Fragment Zero!, an enhanced LFG tool, a random queue bonus, a new high level dungeon called Ultimate Protogames, more custom options, and a new currency called Glory, available only in raids and dungeons.
