The original Nintendo Game Boy is one of the earliest handheld devices in gaming history. Notable for its countless host of iconic games, the Game Boy holds a special place in our hearts for being our first foray into video game land.
Before delving into each of the games we played on the device, we were treated to a “start screen” that played the game’s intro music and allowed us to choose whether to start a new game or continue playing from an older save.
YouTuber NicksplosionFX takes us on a trip down memory lane with a new video that aims to compile every original Game Boy start screen.
Although he admits to missing a few games, he was able to compile his video based on Wikipedia’s list of Game Boy titles.
I’d recommend watching the video in a side window while you do work or something, because it clocks in at close to 3 hours in length.
