Tucked away at the bottom of this morning's Super Smash Bros. for Wii U press release was news about Nintendo's seemingly last big first-party title of 2014: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The Wii U puzzle-platformer is now scheduled for December 5 at a budget price of $39.99.
Treasure Tracker is a spin-off from last year's Super Mario 3D World that stars the titular Captain Toad, the adventurous Mushroom Kingdom retainer who navigates the land in search of diamonds and stars. Unlike Mario, the good Captain is unable to jump, so he'll have to use his brain to get around obstacles in an isometric environment.
North Americans are lucky, since Europeans will have to wait until next year to give Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a spin. For us, we just have to wait until December 5.
