The game industry has been ripe with horror titles over the past couple of years, but there has not been a new intellectual property that has really blown gamers away. The Evil Within is shaping up to be pretty amazing and may change this outlook.
Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks, there is quite a lineage from which to draw high hopes from. While Tango may not have for itself a development history, its parent company is Zenimax, who most assuredly does. Zenimax oversees a number of game studios and has been in charge of publishing games like Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
A new trailer for the game has popped up recently, dubbed "Every Last Bullet." By viewing the video below, you will see that the game follows survival horror trends by offering players only minimal ammunition, giving predence to its name. Closely related to this revelation, the game will offer players the option of stealth. When you are running low on ammunition, and you surely will, players can hide from the game's enemies in closets or other objects. This reminds us a lot of the popular Amnesia series and alludes to elements of Outlast.
However, the title of the trailer does not really do it justice. There is a lot more that the video divulges: story details, gameplay segments and even teleporting zombie men! I am not sure it gets much better than that. Take a peek below see if The Evil Within is something you might be interested in.
