We recently received details on a bunch of upcoming DLC packs for Hyrule Warriors, but at the time, only Europe and Japan were confirmed to receive them. Zelda series producer has appeared on Miiverse on the day of the game's release to confirm that North America won't be left out either. The first set, called the Master Quest Pack, will arrive on October 16 in all three territories, and it will include a new weapon, scenario, adventure map, and two costumes.
That "weapon," by the way, is Link's trusty mount Epona.
It's a bit weird that Epona is classified as a "weapon," but whatever! Her appearance in the main game is unfortunately limited to Link's victory cutscene, so this is good news. Nintendo has yet to price the DLC for America, but it's likely to be no more than $12, which is roughly what the Japanese price is. Anything for your horse, right?
Hyrule Warriors is out on Wii U now. Give our review a read before driving to the store.
