Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced today that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3—last gen—versions of Monolith’s upcoming game, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, have been delayed by more than a month. Fortunately for everyone interested in the game, the game’s new-gen and PC counterparts will be released on time.
The publisher said that the last-gen versions of the game require more time in development and will thus release on November 18 in North America, and a few days later in Europe and the UK.
The PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the action RPG will still come out on September 30.
Set between the major events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings stories, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor tells a new story about a valiant ranger named Talion who, “banished from earth and embodied by a mysterious spirit, is compelled to seek vengeance on those who killed his family and left him to die.”
With his newfound abilities, Talion is able to control the minds of his opponents, turning them against each other. Oh, and the game looks like it plays a lot like Assassin’s Creed, which is always a plus.
