Hotline Miami Coming to PS4 This Month With Cross-Buy

August 11, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The game is launching next week in fact.

Devolver Digital's ficticious CFO Fork Parker has taken to the PlayStation Blog to announce that Dennaton Games' Hotline Miami will be released on PlayStation 4 and the game is cross-buy compatible.

This means that if you own the game on PS3 or PS Vita you'll unlock the PS4 version for free.

Parker, writing about what the PS4 offers, said:

"Gamers can now use DualShock 4′s touch pad to look around and lock on enemies, and actually shake the controller itself to perform execution moves when you have an enemy pinned on the ground. And to take the violence to the next level, the sounds of those same execution moves are amplified through the speaker on the DualShock 4 itself. Ouch."

You can watch the game in action on PS4 below; it launches on August 19th in North America and on August 20th in Europe.

Meanwhile, Hotline Miami 2 is in development and you can check out our preview of it here.
