Watch Dogs: Final Version of TheWorse’s PC Graphics Mod Released

July 22, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

The final version of TheWorse’s graphical enhancement mod for Watch Dogs has been released.

Watch Dogs is prettier on the PC than it is on either the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4, and that’s without any mods whatsoever. With a mod that enables some removed graphical effects back into the game, the visuals in Watch Dogs on the PC more closely resemble the E3 2012 demo than anything the vanilla version of the game stands to offer.

Created by TheWorse, the mod has been available online for about a month now, and it’s just seen its ‘final’ release, which brings it up to version 1.0.

The mod is intended to make the game look like its initial presentation at Ubisoft’s E3 2012 press conference by reenabling fog, bloom, color grading, depth of field, real time lighting, and a variety of other effects that were removed or disabled for performance-related reasons by Ubisoft in their original release of the game earlier this year.

Essentially, the mod enhances the graphics of the game without degrading its performance. You can download it from TheWorse’s blog.
