Microsoft and Lionhead Studios revealed Fable Legends in full at E3 2014 today as a 4v1 multiplayer experience in which four players, taking on the roles of heroes, fight through a dungeon controlled and designed by an adversarial player who places the traps, controls the monsters, and decides how heroes approach the heart of the dungeon.
Fable Legends isn’t the new Fable sequel everyone’s been waiting for, but it’s definitely something. Hopefully, it’ll be more interesting than the other spinoff title they released for the Xbox 360 awhile back.
According to the talking head at Lionhead Studios, multiplayer beta for Fable Legends begins this fall. No word on the game’s release, but it’s probably 2015.
