On the PlayStation blog, Driveclub game director Paul Rustchynsky responded to a comment that defended the free edition of the game that will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
One user asked if the game would simply feature content that would make the game seem like a demo or something similar with reduced content."The PlayStation Plus Edition hasn't changed, It's hardly a demo because you get access to all of the game's features online and offline. The difference is that you only have 10 cars and you can only race in one country (which gives you access to 5 tracks with 11 distinct variants)," he responded in the comments section.
The game was originally a launch title, but the game was inevitably delayed. However, the studio maintained that the game will still be free to PlayStation Plus users as promised. Yesterday, we revealed the primary reason behind the numerous delays.
DriveClub will be released on October 8, 2014 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
