EA has announced that BioWare's fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released on October 7th for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in North America
Lion Martinez, an EA social marketing exec for the Nordic countries, confirmed that the game would be releasing two days later on October 9th in the region. This most likely means an October 10th release in Ireland and the UK.
The news emerged from a new gameplay trailer which you can check out below and follows the reveal yesterday of the game's box art.
BioWare says:
"The lone survivor of a cataclysmic blast, the Inquisitor is the only one who can stop the demons terrorizing the land of Thedas. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available on October 7, 2014."
The game features several returning characters such as Varric, Cassandra Pentaghast, and Cullen. It was recently confirmed that both Cassandra and Cullen are possible love interests. Inquisition is coming out on the same day as Alien Isolation and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
While newcomers to the series will have no problem jumping in according to BioWare, those who have played Origins and Dragon Age 2 can mold their experience using Dragon Age: Keep to reflect the decision they made in previous games. Keep is still in closed beta for select users only but hopefully it won't be long before more players are invited to join.
BioWare has also released new screenshots of the game which you can check out in the gallery below.
