Another key component to the Uncharted 4 formula has left Naughty Dog. Justin Richmond, the game director for the upcoming PlayStation 4 title, has departed the studio in order to join Riot Games.
"I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog," Richmond told IGN. "I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can't wait to be a part of."
Richmond might not have direct experience working with a MOBA like League of Legends, but the developer did oversee Uncharted 2’s multiplayer features a few years back. He’s been at Naughty Dog since 2008.
It was just earlier this month that creative director Amy Hennig left the company, so while we can’t assume these moves are related, Uncharted 4 losing two of its biggest players isn’t exactly encouraging.
