We’ve seen dozens of different fighters that are coming to EA Sports UFC – the MMA project releasing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this spring. However, the gameplay has still been kept mostly under wraps by EA Sports, since the team would rather show a more complete product to its hungry fans than pre-alpha footage. Thankfully, the latest gameplay series has all the kicks, superman punches, judo throws, and slick submissions everyone’s been asking for, and the level of detail is simply staggering.
Instead of sliding across the Octagon and throwing punches with very little power behind them, EA Sports UFC allows players to actually press their feet against the canvas and land strikes that send ripples down the opponent’s body. Flesh displaces flesh and muscles contort, making the tight submissions much more than a simple button-mashing minigame.
It’s shaping up to be the most visually and mechanically accurate UFC game on the market, and fans can expect to get their hands on EA Sports UFC soon.
