Blizzard has revealed that they will be launching a technical Alpha for Heroes of the Storm very soon.
While Blizzard confirmed that the game is already in a playable state, it is still in the early stages of development. They have finished extensive internal testing and now need some outside opinions to move forward.
In this phase, they will be able to make better assessments of their infrastructure, as well as adjust to the hardware needs of their players. Whereas the game still has many bugs and issues, this phase will exclusively about the technical requirements, hence, they’ve dubbed it the Technical Alpha.
With this in mind, the Alpha will only have a very limited number of players. They’ve already decided to focus on US players. If you can join in, you will have to login to their Beta Profile page with your Battle.net account and run the system tool. This will both ensure your computer is up to snuff and add you into the pool for consideration. You can also use your Battle.net account to verify if you were added to the Alpha, via a Heroes of the Storm license appearing in your summary.
Players who do get in will be in for a treat, because there will be no NDA for the duration of the Alpha. Of course, you can expect some or a lot of that content to be changed in final release, but you wwill have a captive audience for Heroes of the Storm information. Again, make yourself eligible by logging onto the Beta Profile page here.
