The apocalypse is coming to Playstation 4 on March 4. Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition is exclusive to the console, and the next game from the makers of Resogun, Housemarque.
Dead Nation is a top-down shooter with the stereotypical, but acceptable zombie apocalypse setting. The campaign mode can be played single or multiplayer, online and local alike. The game boasts of full 1080p visuals, with the necessary improvements made to textures, rendering and effects.
New to Apocalypse Edition are three more modes: Arcade, Challenge, Broadcast +, and Endless. Challenge Mode allows you to share high scores per level to your friends and vice versa, so that you can compete for the top spot.
Broadcast+ mode is a step above the normal streaming mode. While you stream, viewers can login and vote to add certain outcomes, negative (spawning zombies) and positive (spawning ammo) alike. In turn, zombies take names from said viewers, allowing the streamer to take it out on them literally. Viewers will have as much as 30 voting events. There will also be a new companion app, that will allow you to keep track of game stats while playing.
