Microsoft and Harmonix officially unveiled Dance Central 2 during their E3 keynote today, showing off possibly the only Kinect game in their entire 2011 / 2012 lineup that didn't look like utter garbage. On the contrary, I'm rather excited for the game, as Harmonix showed off a bunch of new features that were lacking in the first game, probably due to Microsoft's push to make Dance Central a Kinect launch title.
Dance Central 2 will feature simultaneous two-player dancing, a significantly improved Break-It-Down mode which promises to be a bit more…coherent, and the inclusion of an actual campaign mode which ostensibly involves a story of some kind! Additionally all of your tracks from Dance Central can be brought over to Dance Central 2, which makes for a possible 100 available tracks to dance to in the sequel. All things considered this is probably what the original game should have been in the first place, but who cares about that when you've got a release date to hit!
