There’s no box or disc to add to your collection when buying a game digitally but more often than not, the full-retail price is still there. Consoles are yet to adopt the “Steam sales” system for their digital offerings, but Microsoft is at least discussing what it can do to provide its online customers with a fairer price. PR man Larry Hryb recently took to Reddit to address the issue.
“We are way aware of this and many of the concerns of the community,” he said in regard to not being able to preorder Titanfall digitally and get the $10 off deal. “We have some great stuff planned for Xbox One this year (and beyond). As soon as we can share some of the goodness… we will.”
The fan bringing up these issues continued to dig into Hryb by asking why people buying digital games “are being punished” with high prices. It’s a problem, but not one that Microsoft hasn’t discussed.
“It is indeed on the agenda,” Hyrb concluded.
The Xbox One’s audience continues to grow, so look to hear more on improvements to the popular system soon.
