Respawn Sends Titanfall Alpha Invites to Players

January 16, 2014 by Stephen Daly

It’s unclear when the trial run of the game will start, however.

Respawn Entertainment, the developer of Titanfall, has sent out emails containing alpha trial invites to some Xbox One owners, GameInformer reports.

Those selected are required to sign a NDA which prevents them from sharing their experiences during the alpha and are then told to await further instructions.

It's not currently known when the alpha will begin or what maps or game modes participants will be able to engage in. The game has 6v6 human player battles and it's likely those involved in the trial will be given a run of this game type.

Yesterday a special edition Titanfall controller was announced and the game offers various controller layouts including bumper jumper and tactical. Producer Drew McCoy recently commented that the game is "tough" to market due to its lack of a single player campaign.

Titanfall launches on PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on March 11th.
