Ali Hillis, the voice actor for Lightning, narrates the latest Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 developer diary to explain the effects of the Doomsday Clock ticking throughout the game.
As players progress through the story, a Doomsday Clock continuously ticks. Within the limited 13 day time frame, the characters must complete their objectives before time expires. Every 24 hours the world and the characters around the player also change.
Square Enix also wants players to observe the world around them and interact with each character's lifestyle. The emphasis on exploration means towns and other environments won't restrict the player to linear paths like in previous Final Fantasy 13 entries. Lightning can explore almost anywhere around the large cities or small villages in the wilderness.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 releases for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 11.
