Hello Games hasn’t been able to catch a break during the holiday season. After a flood washed away the majority of the useful tools inside the U.K. studio, the team behind the upcoming procedurally generated project, No Man’s Sky, learned that all the damage wouldn’t be covered by flood insurance. It’s a tough turn of events after such a positive reception at the VGX, but there is some hope. Microsoft's Phil Spencer has taken to Twitter to let the world know that he’s reached out to Hello Games in order to see if they need help.
“I received a few tweets on this,” he replied when approached by a concerned fan of Hello Games. “I'm going to look into it.”
Not long after that message, Spencer Tweeted, “I've reached out to see if we can help.”
With so much support surrounding the British developer, it’s likely that it’ll get back on its feet in early 2014.
