Iconic PlayStation Classic Title Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Is Now Available On Mobile

March 4, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Relive this classic on the go.

When it comes to the original PlayStation console, there are a few staple games that stand out and for good reason. One of those titles that were exactly in terms of gameplay, narrative, and soundtrack was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It’s been a beloved installment to the franchise for years and now it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy this classic on your smartphone.

It still amazes me that beloved video game titles from past consoles are able to be enjoyed on a smartphone. A port of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was a surprise release as it’s available for both Android and iOS platforms at just $2.99. Best of all, it looks like the game was tweaked to play well on touchscreen controls, but there is support if you wish to connect a controller to the device as an alternative.

While this is a classic title, you’ll want to make note that this particular game doesn’t feature the original version of the installment. Instead, this is a port of the edition that launched later on for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms. While not too much has changed, there are some differences such as the voice acting.

In other news, it looks like tomorrow you’ll get the chance to enjoy the latest season of Castlevania, the animated adaptation that is available on the Netflix streaming service. Are you going to pick up this latest port of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night or is your mind focused on the animated series right now?
