We have a special new guide for you on an alternate setup for ACOG Snipers in Call of Duty Ghosts. This class is demanding, but that’s a good thing, since when you switch back to a more conventional setup, you will find that your skills have leveled up. This class rewards skillful play, forcing you to take the time to ADS and line up shots properly.
Your primary rifle will be the Lynx, which does 98 % damage no matter what the range. This rifle rewards you if you are accurate with your shots. If you play well, every shot is a one shot kill.
For attachments, you do not want a regular scope, and this is where the ACOG comes in. This will make it feel like you are using a real SMG or assault rifle, and not getting effects that are only possible in a video game.
You will also want the chrome barrel attachment to increase the chances of one shot kills. Without this attachment, you will still get hit markers after striking with the Lynx, even with its 98% damage output. With the attachment on, the only circumstances where you might get hit markers is if the target is wearing a ballistic vest.
Your secondary weapon is a pistol. Again, this goes in line with the idea of rewarding you for accuracy. The P226 comes best recommended.
For this class, there will be no tacticals or lethals, to keep you focused on improving your skills. For Perks, you want Ready Up to get to ADS faster. Off The Grid might be a nice option so you don’t have to worry about getting SAT-COMmed. Finally, you should get Ping to keep you going after nearby enemies after taking down your target.
