Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is now available on Steam, having released yesterday officially for Windows PC.
The Windows and Steam versions of the game are basically identical, down to the special editions. Both platforms have the basic game for $ 59.99, with a digital deluxe edition for $ 79.99, as well as $ 19.99 for a season pass. You can also get these DLC packs for either one or two dollars: Time Saver: Collectibles Pack, Time Saver: Activities Pack, Death Vessel Pack, Crusader and Florentine Pack, and Time Saver: Technology Pack.
Minimum system requirements are Windows Vista SP2 and above, Core2Quad Q4800 or Athlon II X4 620, 2 GB RAM, 512 MB VRAM with Shader Model 4.0, 30 GB free hard drive space, DirectX compatible sound card, and a mouse and keyboard.
Recommended specs are Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, or Windows 8, i5 2400S or Phenom II X4 940, 4 GB RAM, 1024 MB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0, 30 GB free hard drive space, and a DirectX compatible sound card with the latest drivers.
These are the officially supported video cards: GTX 260 and above, GTX 400, 500, 600, and 700 series, Radeon HD4870 and above, HD5000, HD6000, and HD7000 series. Latest GTX drivers tested are 327.23 for all cards. Latest Radeon drivers tested are 13.1 for HD4000, 13.4 for HD5000, HD6000 and HD7000, and 13.9 for HD5000, HD6000 and HD7000 for Windows 7 and Windows 8. Laptop versions of these cards are not officially supported, but may work.
