Atlus is doing a pretty good job of teasing some of the most devoted gaming fans in the world. The company put up a teaser website (via GameInformer) a few weeks ago that seemed to hint at the existence of Persona 5, and while nothing has been confirmed at this time, a picture of Persona 4’s Teddie has just been added to the site in order to draw even more attention to the upcoming reveal.
Persona is one of the few interesting – and well made – JRPG franchises still out there, so any whiff of evidence that a new game is coming gets its fans out of their seats. Teddie is one of the most loveable characters from the last project, and while each new Persona game often uses a new cast, there’s always at least a few similar themes or assets to tie them all together. Hopefully, Teddie is that link.
We probably shouldn’t start jumping for joy until we hear a final confirmation. This could be some sort of other non-gaming tie-in, so for now, bottle up that excitement and save it for Sunday.
