We have a small preview of the features coming to Battlefield 4’s China Rising and Second Assault expansion packs.
Front and center in China Rising are four new multiplayer maps set in the mainland: Silk Road, Altai Range, Gullin Peaks and Dragon Pass. It will also have five completely brand new weapons, the dirt bike from Battlefield 3, a new bomber, and one more land and air vehicle. The UCAVs will be unlocked for the Support class and the SUAVs will be unlocked for the Recon class. It also brings the game mode Air Superiority, and 10 new assignments, each with their own unlocks.
Second Assault will have four of the most popular maps from Battlefield 3, reworked under Frostbite Engine 3 and offering new multiplayer features from Battlefield 4. These four maps are now renamed Operation Metro 2014, Caspian Border 2014, Gulf of Oman 2014, and Operation Firestorm 2014. This expansion also brings back the Dune Buggy, 5 similarly remastered weapons, Capture The Flag, and 10 assignments with their own unlocks. And yes, the Chinese faction is playable in these maps too.
These will also be available to premium members two weeks early, which is a glorified way of saying beta testing, but Battlefield fans know what to expect from DICE by now. China Rising will come for premium members December 3, and Second Assault for premium members November 22.
