Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines released in 2004 as an action RPG. Within the game, players follow a vampire character in the early 21st century in Los Angeles. Early into the game, we are tossed into a journey in which our character uncovers the truth behind a relic that points to the end of all vampires. This title didn’t release to be a massive hit and it was filled with different bugs. However, as time progressed the following grew for the title and it became a cult hit.
Much like the first installment, players will be taking on the role of a vampire but in a city that is filled with different factions. Players will have to sort through the different factions and establish themselves as a vampire in this new world. A lot of the gameplay also relies on players making their own choices and it seems that the skill tree upgrade system will make it possible to allow players to compliment a variety of playstyles.
While this game has been highly anticipated with the cult following, there is some slight downer news. There hasn’t been a specific release date attached to the video game though it was stated to launch at some point early 2020. That has now been changed as the development studio took to the official blog for Bloodlines 2 and alerted followers that the title will not be pushed back until the end of 2020.
For the last three and a half years, we’ve worked hard to bring you a worthy successor to Bloodlines 1. To us, that meant not only making good on the ambitions of this remarkable game but also a duty to ensure we would not repeat its mistakes. Today, we have to tell you that we need some more time to get you the game you’ve been waiting for. Although Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will still launch in 2020, we have decided to value quality over making the Q1 launch window.
It seems that there is no specific reason as to why the developers are pushing back the release date other than that they wish to avoid any technical glitches or hiccups. Delays can be a bit of a bummer but knowing that the developers are just wanting to bring out the best product possible then this may be more than welcomed to fans eager for its release. Again, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be launching in 2020 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
