When it comes to video games releasing next year, there are a few that are notably anticipated. On top of that list for most gamers, you’re going to find Cyberpunk 2077. This is the next video game title being developed from CD Projekt Red, the studio responsible for The Witcher series. Of course, keeping us hyped and ready for the game’s upcoming release are a series of trailers and media events showcasing the video game. For instance, we got a new cinematic trailer showcasing the title and some of the characters within it from E3 2019, but today we’re getting a look at the creation of that particular trailer.
It’s not too often that we see developers bring out a video showcasing how they crafted a particular trailer or video game prior to its release. CD Projekt Red is giving no room for players hype to start dwindling down and while this time around we’re not necessarily getting a new trailer, we’re seeing some behind the scenes action of one that was recently released.
If you recall E3 2019, a cinematic trailer showcased some rough and ruthless gangs and battles between high profile people of Night City. From gunfights to melee combat, there’s a lot to take in with the trailer, but that also meant that there was plenty of work that went into the editing and footage capture. Outside of CGI and video editing, there was a team who actually filmed segment of the footage through using mocap suits. Speaking of plenty of work, we got new information regarding the work that went into side quests and just how crucial they are within the game.
For now, it still appears that CD Projekt Red is gearing up for a release on April 16, 2020, on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. It’s also worth pointing out that the Google Stadia platform will also see a launch at a later date.
