The Sega Genesis was a hit video game console and one that gave Nintendo some serious competition back in the day. We have the classic Genesis does what Nintendon’t line after all. At any case, this past couple of years there has been a real look back into the classic age of video game consoles. We’ve seen miniature size consoles release into the market which is packed with a number of pre-loaded video game titles to enjoy. Now being added into the mix for available mini sized video game consoles is the Sega Genesis.
As mentioned, this past couple of years there has been some hits with classic plug-and-play game consoles released into the market. We have the successful NES Classic and SNES Classic for instance that comes with their own classic titles loaded into the system for gamers to enjoy. However, Sony is enough proof that these classic edition consoles are not an easy sell. The PlayStation Classic Edition was a massive flop as it sold with just a handful of video game titles at $100 along with the first standard PlayStation controller that lacked the analog controls. Furthermore, the video game titles included were not all that classic to the video game console. Hoping that they don’t make the same mistake, Sega has been slowly teasing their line of video game titles that will be launching on their Sega Genesis mini.
