The iPad 2 now can give off a glasses-free 3-D display thanks to the front facing camera and head tracking. Thanks to the researchers at France's Engineering Human-Computer Interaction Research Group, they were able to achieve a 3-D display after creating a head-tracking software.
The project named "Head-Coupled Perspective" works by using the front facing camera to follow your head movements and adjusts the display. This display gives more depth instead of displaying towards your face but still gives off a great impression of viewing objects in 3-D. You can view a demo video below:
