After a second delay announced in early June for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Frictional Games and thechineeseroom today revealed a September 10th release date.
The second delay came as a product of the studio determining that the development progress wouldn't meet their projected date. Even though Frictional Games teamed up with Dear Esther developers, thechineeseroom, larger budgets, larger scope and larger fan base can lengthen the process.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs won't directly follow Amnesia: The Dark Descent but it will still enforce the survivalist, run for your life structure of the first game.
So far you can pre-order Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs on GOG.com for $15.99 – a 20% discount.
