There are several big name video game titles that receive a Christmas themed update which can alter various cosmetics to characters and levels. Rockstar Games will do this with their Grand Theft Auto Online video game where players can enjoy snowball fights or areas filled with snow. Carrying over the same fun and joy, Rockstar Games has released a Christmas themed update for the latest installment, Red Dead Redemption 2. Now, this particular update was made note of by a YouTuber who found that the developers went into each saloon and made on little change.
When gamers find themselves in a saloon within Red Dead Online, they will find that all of the piano players have been altered to play Christmas carols both iconic hits and original works that were crafted up all the way back in the 1800s. This is just a small little nod to the Christmas season and we didn’t expect too much as the Red Dead Online video game component is still within the beta phase leaving Rockstar Games to focus more on the stability for gamers across the board.
We imagine that the developers will continue to add new exciting content yearly once the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2 is out of beta. As such, there may be a bit more Christmas cheer to enjoy next year though that is just our speculation at the current moment. For now, we suggest looking at the local saloon to see the holiday update in action.
For those who have not purchased a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, the video game is currently out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. You can view our thoughts on the game up above in our Before You Buy episode upload.
