Dragon Age Inquisition Concept Art Depicts An Ancient Prison

August 5, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

From their ancient prisons they will sing.

EA and BioWare have released a new piece of concept artwork for the upcoming role-playing game and sequel to the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age: Inquisition on Facebook.

The artwork appears to depict three adventurers standing before the great entrance of an ancient temple complex build into the side of a cave within a dell. It’s an epic scene with flowing waterfalls and overhead rock outcroppings.

BioWare provided a helpful (well, it’s helpful depending on whether you’ve brushed up on your Dragon Age lore, so don’t hesitate to go back and read all the Codex entries if you find the time) caption beneath the artwork, which reads as follows:

The Old Gods will call to you, from their ancient prisons will they sing.

What could that mean, exactly? Well, there’s a good chance that the entrance is that of an ancient prison from an age long past. Could this be Lusacan or Razikale's prison? Only time (and actually playing the game) will tell.
