Sony Bend took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that their upcoming zombie apocalypse title, Days Gone, will be detailed to April 26, 2019.
The highly anticipated title was set to release on February 22. for the PS4, however, the team would like to take some extra time to polish over the game before it officially releases. This is never a bad thing to do, especially with such a huge and ambitious title like this. I rather them take the time and have the game run at the best of its ability instead of it releasing with loads of bugs and issues.

We want to share a change in release date for this highly anticipated title from Bend Studio. We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the crowded February timeframe to April 26, 2019. While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone.
As PlayStation fans already know, Days Gone is an open-world action game set in the high-desert of the Pacific Northwest. Traversing harsh landscapes on their drifter bike, players must fight for resources as they attempt to survive broken roads, unpredictable weather, attacks from other human factions, infected wildlife and roaming Freakers — a brutal, dynamic world that is dangerous both day and night.
Earlier this year, Game Informer and Days Gone had partnered up to showcase the game whether it was hordes of zombies, to vehicle gameplay; the two showed off a lot of the game. Sony Bend said themselves that they are “definitely pushing the PlayStation 4 to its limits,” which shows amazing potential and ambition from the team. With delaying the game an extra couple of months, a ton of polishing could easily be done.
Days Gone is now scheduled to release exclusively for the PS4 on April 26, 2019. Are you excited for Sony Bend’s upcoming game? Let us know in the comments below!
