A word of warning: when you sign up for a Suda51 game, there’s no turning back from the bizarre, inappropriate things you’re about to see. Profanity will be slung without a second thought, men and women could lose articles of clothing at any time, and yes, you might even be asked to waggle a Wiimote in a way no one really should. However, the creativity and unique entertainment value that comes from Grasshopper Manufacture is undeniable, and that’s why even the most busty images of Killer is Dead, the latest from the Japanese studio, should have you dusting off an old copy of Shadows of the Damned in anticipation.
A slew of new screenshots have been released in anticipation for the game's upcoming release. Other than the obvious, hyper-sexualized shots of the women you’ll encounter in the game, both a turret sequence and a bit of third-person shooter can be found. We’ve seen plenty of the game’s hacking and slashing, so it’s nice to see just what kind of firepower Killer is Dead will be offering in August.
If you’re interested in experiencing the magic, the launch edition of Killer is Dead is still out in the wild for $59.99. The bundle will come packaged with an 80-page hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD containing 25 songs from the game, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ DLC pack which has bonus in-game goods ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an unique costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty, and an additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian. All of this can be yours when the game drops August 27.
