WRC FIA World Rally Championship 4, or simply WRC 4, is making its way to PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows. The first WRC game to be published by Bigben Interactive, developer Milestone promises noticeable changes from WRC 3, falling short of callin. Aside from the graphical updates expected of the series, Bigben and Milestone are playing up the changes the franchise is going to be getting as a result of community feedback.
An example of a community requested feature is the new Career Mode. Thanks to the FIA World Rally license, they will be able to make use of real life rally racers and racing teams to provide some depth to this mode. Other graphical improvements have been made to lighting and weather effects.
Bigben pledges they will be loyal to the license, and will provide accessibility to new players, competitive online play and what they vaguely describe as an 'exciting game experience'.
WRC is a fairly popular, if not spectacular, rally racing franchise, and is probably a common number two racing game for fans. By claiming they will be loyal to the license I take it that the franchise may not be the same game fans have been used to, but will still be a great rally racing game that represents the FIA Championship. As for the exciting game experience, I'm pretty sure that's all pretty much subjective, but maybe Milestone can surprise us with this one. You can judge it for yourself how well they do when the game arrives October of this year.
