Up to this point, pretty much everything we’ve seen about NBA 2K14 has been about the community. We know that both the developers and cover athlete LeBron James are looking to its playerbase to help select the soundtrack that will be featured in the game, and yes, the community team-up program is back and hopefully better than ever. But instead of going on and on about the dedicated group holding their controllers, let’s take a look at the men spending all their time dribbling the ball down the court. Actually, let’s just take a look at one: LeBron James.
Three fresh screenshots have been released that show the greatest player in the game today, the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, doing what he does best. That means you get to see him shooting a long jumper, preparing the charge into the paint, and lifitng up for a dunk like no man can. This is likely all current-gen footage, as we haven’t really seen anything on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game up to this point, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t be happy at just how nice NBA 2K14 is looking in its current state.
We won’t have to wait too much longer to test out all the new teams and mechanics in the full game. NBA 2K14 is due for release Oct. 1 in North America and Oct. 4 in Europe on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Look to hear more about next-gen release dates in the near future.
