After a long disappearance, Ryse: Son of Rome debuted gameplay at Microsoft's E3 press conference. The Crytek developed game started out as a possible Kinect game for the Xbox 360, and then eventually turned into an Xbox One exclusive.
To see the progression of Ryse from motion captured video to actual playable video game, the above Behind the Scenes video shows some early gameplay video and the development process.
Many games continue to employ motion capture technology to most accurately, and naturally, replicate human movements for animations within the game. The motion capture process records body movements and even facial expressions.
Ryse: Son of Rome will launch alongside the Xbox One this November.
