Supergiant announced today during the Nindies 2018 Summer Showcase that two of their biggest titles, Bastion and Transistor, are heading to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Bastion will retail for $14.99 and will release on September 13, while the other major Supergiant hit, Transistor, will retail for $19.99 and release on November 1st. Developer Greg Kasavin is super excited to see their games hit a Nintendo console, as the team over at Supergiant are all big Nintendo fans.

“With Bastion and Transistor headed to the Switch, our games will finally-at-long-last be playable on a Nintendo game console! At Supergiant, many of us grew up playing classic Nintendo game systems. The Switch has to be one of Nintendo’s greatest systems yet, and we’re thrilled to see our games there!”

For those who have yet to play or hear about these games, check out Supergiant’s description of the two down below:

About Bastion

Our debut game is an original action RPG set in a lush imaginative world, in which players must create and fight for civilization’s last refuge as a mysterious narrator marks their every move. To date, it’s sold millions of copies worldwide and earned more than 100 industry awards and accolades.

About Transistor

Our second title is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city. Transistor likewise was a critical and commercial hit, also earning more than 100 awards and accolades!

This is super exciting news for fans who both loved these games and those who have never played them before. Taking these two titles on the go, will be great. The development studio also noted that their latest title, Pyre, is not off the table, but at the moment they have no plans to bring the game to other platforms.

Bastion is set to release for the Nintendo Switch on September 13, while Transistor is set for a November 1st release. Are you excited for these titles to be making their way to the Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
