Microsoft unleashed their Xbox Game Pass in 2017 where subscribers could get access to a wide selection of video games to enjoy for a standard monthly fee. Since its initial release, Microsoft has been adding new video game titles into the service for gamers to enjoy with the latest being Halo: The Master Chief Collection. News broke of this addition at Gamescom where gamers can enjoy the collection starting this September.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game subscription then you can think of it as a Netflix subscription. Instead of films and shows, gamers can gain access to a catalog of video game titles. The service does require gamers to subscribe and pay a monthly fee, however, during Gamescom Microsoft had also unveiled that the monthly fee will only be $2 for two months as long as you’re a new subscriber.
As mentioned, Microsoft is adding Halo: The Master Chief Collection into the service where gamers will have access to Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and lastly Halo 4. This, unfortunately, doesn’t include the Halo Wars series, Halo Reach or the latest installment Halo 5: Guardians. However, it will give newcomers to the franchise the ability to enjoy one of Microsoft’s biggest video game exclusives.
If you’re not interested in the Halo franchise then it’s well worth looking into the other video game titles offered through the Xbox Game Pass as you’ll find installments from the Gears of War, Dead Rising, Mega Man, Saints Row, and Resident Evil franchises. That’s only just a small highlight of the variety of video game titles offered at the current moment.
