One of the biggest reveals from Ubisoft during their E3 press conference this year was the unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Fans of the franchise were delighted to know that the series will continue on with a new installment that takes place in Greek historical setting. However, it looks like this installment will be one that should last gamers for quite some time.
After being unveiled during E3 2018 it was confirmed that the latest installment will be available within the market in October of this year. However, this title will last gamers a good while as there are no current plans to launch a new Assassin’s Creed title within the upcoming year. Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, stated that the upcoming release will be supported with content but due to the development teams who worked on Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassins’ Creed Odyssey were both hard at work during the same time with their projects, players will not receive a full Assassin’s Creed title in 2019.
That also means that there are no plans on side games or spinoff titles for the Assassin’s Creed franchise next year. But again, as mentioned, Ubisoft apparently has plenty of content they wish to release into the market on a regular basis.
Also due to the fact that the developers are aiming to release a more RPG heavy Assassin’s Creed title with multiple choices, dialogue options, and various endings, there’s a good chance that players will be going through the game a few times to explore everything that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has to offer.
