#19 Gamers Spent a Whole Year Trying to Destroy an Indestructible Dam
GTA Players have done everything from hunting down jetpacks, finding secrets and easter eggs, and even chasing bigfoot in the game—all based on hearsay and rumor. In 2016, some players got the idea that it was possible to destroy a seemingly-indestructible dam located in the game’s Los Santos region, just northeast of the city. Players who trawled through the game’s raw data found a destructible object that is referred to as an “Aqueduct,” which they believe to be the dam. That sparked the frenzy.
Playing offline, they’ve done everything from launching thousands of rockets at the structure to even crashing a blimp into it. In fact, YouTubers chronicled various secrets he discovered at the location, including a secret door, and detailed various efforts to find the dam’s weak point. Other bits of evidence include coral rock and other ill-fitting materials scattered near the dam, which may be indications that the whole area was underwater at some point.
To date, the dam remains undamaged, and so the hunt continues.
