#5 Self-Driving Cars Can Play GTA 5 And Learn How to Improve
As we mentioned earlier, there’s a road in-game that struggles with AI drivers. To that end, some autonomous vehicle developers are now using the game to train their AI to learn better driving skills.
The team from Intel Labs say that they are using object identification to ‘learn’ how to recognize objects, such as other cars and even pedestrians and cyclists. So far, researchers have spent tens of thousands of hours in-game gathering data to investigate challenges like weather and low-light situations.
